Hard coal reserves
According to the state from 31st December 2005, in the active hard coal mines there are 15,716.7 million tons of balance reserves and 11,143.1 million tons of extra-balance reserves.
6,004.4 million tons were qualified to developed reserves, including 3,807.3 million tons of recoverable reserves. Recoverable reserves filling the active floors and those being built were 2,525.7 million tons.
Sufficiency of the effective reserves filling the active floors and those being built ranges from 7.6 years (KWK Polska-Wirek) to 7.3 years (KWK Halemba).
Avarage sufficiency of recoverable reserves filling the active floors and those being built, at the level of output planned by mining companies during 2006-2015, is about 27 years. Avarage sufficiency of recoverable reserves at the scale of whole sector at the level of output planned by particular mines during 2006-2015 is about 40 years.
During 2006-2015, as the result of output, the output of recoverable reserves on eighteen mining floors will be finished up, including twelve mining floors of Kompania Węglowa SA, four mining floors of Katowicki Holding Węglowy SA, and dwo mining floors of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa SA.
